The Eels are the best band ever
The Eels are the best band ever. I've only ever met one other person who likes them - and he was an american on holiday here. He understood my obsession - it was quite beautiful.
So why isn't every single person in the world listening to the Eels 24/7? I really can't work it out. You idiots should really get yourself a musical education. You probably all think you've got advanced taste in music because you listened to a Radiohead album once.
Get fucked.

The Eels are ok, but lately they have been sliding downwardass ... the last album wasn't so good! However, they are indeed one of the most underrated bands of all time! E is a genius and I would would make love to him if he wasn't sp damn ugly.

The reason the last album (I assume you mean Shootenanny) wasn't of the quality of their best work was because the entire concept of the album, from E's point of view, was to make an album which was simple and very easy to make. He wrote the entire album in 7 days and recorded it in probably similar time.
If you spend a week on an album it's clearly not going to be up to the standard of, say, Electro-Shock Blues. That said, I thought Shootenanny was a hell of a lot of fun and still had all the basic elements of a great Eels album (E's sense of humour, catchy songs).
But watch out for their next album - it's being released on the 26th of april. E has described it as the 'Mother of all Eels albums'. Go to www.theeels.com for more info.

Jack: I will give you some song titles - however, such is the diversity of the Eels' work that I could not give you an entire album which does them justice, let alone a song. And I don't want you to 'decide' whether I am right about the Eels. I am right. If you have any doubt about how good the Eels are - it is you who is confused my friend.
